From your first idea to a healed tattoo, here is how getting tattooed at Uppercuts works.
- What to Expect
Step 1
Free Consultation
A 30-minute meeting with your artist at our Maple Ridge studio. Bring reference photos and your placement idea. For a cover-up, bring a clear photo of the existing tattoo. You leave with a plan and a time estimate.
Step 2
Book and Pay Your Deposit
A $100 non-refundable deposit secures your session and comes off the final price. Need to change the date? Give us 24 hours’ notice. See our booking policy for the details.
Step 3
Before Your Session
Eat a full meal, drink plenty of water and get a good night’s sleep. Avoid alcohol the day before. Wear loose clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
Step 4
Session Day
Arrive on time. Clients aged 16 or 17 need a parent or legal guardian with them. Sessions are $180 an hour plus GST, and we accept cash, debit, credit card and e-transfer.
Want to use numbing cream? You are welcome to bring your own; mention it to your artist at the consultation.
Step 5
Aftercare
Follow our aftercare guide. If you notice spreading redness, heat, swelling or discharge, contact us and see a doctor.
Step 6
Free Touch-up
Touch-ups are free within 3 months of your session.
